Rolando Javier Almirante Castillo is one of the most media-minded intellectuals in Cuba, not only because he is the image of one of the most watched television programs in the country: El Triángulo de la Confianza (The Trust Triangle). He has also contributed as a journalist, scriptwriter and producer of Telón Abierto (Curtains Risen,) one of the most successful monographic-documentary series dedicated to the exponents of Cuban theater: actors and actresses, writers, dramatists, composers, set designers, costume designers, lighting designers...
He has been a professor of Audiovisual Media for more than twenty-seven years in the School of Journalism of the University of Havana, the Instituto Superior de Arte, ISA (Higher Institute of the Arts), and the International Film and Television School of San Antonio de los Baños. He is a member of the Sociedad General de Autores y Editores de España, SGAE (General Society of Authors and Publishers of Spain), the International Academy of Television, Arts and Sciences of the United States, and the American Association of Emmy Awards. He has been a jury member for the most important awards, in terms of production, bestowed in Cuba. He is a true talent at the service of Producciones Caricatos.
