The 20th Habano Festival is also the setting of choice for the presentation of Reserva Cosecha 2014 by the Cohiba brand, by the hand of the Robustos factory size (ring gauge 50 x 124mm long), one of the most coveted within Habanos’ portfolio. With this launch, Habanos’ flagship brand has resumed the exclusive Cohiba Reserva Concept. The first-ever Cohiba Reserva was the Cosecha 2003, presented in a combination of exclusive vitolas that made Cohiba the first Habano brand to roll out this particular specialty.
In making the Reserva Cosecha 2014, all the leaves that make up this Habano (filler and wrapper) have endured a long and careful three-year aging process. This is a unique and exclusive output of 5,000 numbered boxes carrying 20 units each that represents the ultimate exclusiveness of the most prestigious cigar brand of all. And make no mistakes about it; the acclaim among Habano lovers around the globe will be overwhelming.
The new Reserva Cosecha 2014 delves deeper into the unique character of Habanos* as a Protected Denomination of Origin. The leaves used in its manufacture are “the cream of the crop” from the finest tobacco plantations of the San Juan y Martínez* and San Luis* areas, in the region of Vuelta Abajo*, the Pinar del Río* province, in Cuba*.
Robustos is no doubt the best-known and most coveted vitola among Habano buffs. It’s indeed a trendsetting size that gathers the brand’s most renowned features. What’s more, Cohiba is the only Habano brand in which two of the three leaves its cigars are made up of have endured additional fermentation. This special treatment gives Cohiba unmistaken tastes and scents unseen in any other brand.
These habanos have been “totally handmade with long filler”, with select leaves from Vuelta Abajo* –the world’s best tobacco region- from the province of Pinar del Río*, Cuba*.
