Everything has contributed to turn Si vas a comer, espera por Virgilio (If You’re Going to Eat, Wait for Virgilio) into an early-bird classic Cuban play and a tribute to its dog-gone and unmatched guest of honor, the great taster Virgilio Piñera –playwright, poet, storyteller and essayist- and to a number of Cuban restaurants that were honored –some of them unknowingly- by this illustrious patron.
