North of the Villa Clara province, an expanding tourist circuit stretches out and covers part of the Jardines del Rey archipelago, whose major allures are the Las Brujas, Santa Maria and Ensenachos keys. Ensenachos Key, in particular, is a U-shaped former aboriginal settlement of barely one square mile that shelters 22 plant types and 39 wildlife species. The hotel features a nautical center, a 1,250-square-kilometer spa, a business center, all-purpose halls, a theater to seat as many as 500 people, countless MICE facilities, and a library. The Occidental Royal Hideaway Ensenachos is less than a one-hour drive from the Santa Clara International Airport and only five minutes away from the domestic airfield on Las Brujas Key. It stands 385 kilometers from Havana and is linked to the main island through a rock-based paved road that runs some 48 kilometers on the sea and features 46 bridges.
