Mulata and Santero Head for the International Rum Festival
The Morro-Cabaña Fairgrounds in the Cuban capital provide the ideal framework for the unveiling of two brand-new products made by Cuban company Tecnoazucar: the Mulata and Santero rums. Tecnoazucar Director-General Hector Companioni Echemendia gave us the following information: “Mulata, a spirit that hit the market in 1994, is highly coveted and sells well in both local and international markets. Santero is getting its big break now after making it big as a top-notch sugarcane rum. Both Mulata and Santero have their corresponding export permits, both meet the quality standards required by Cuba's Ministry of Food Industry, and both are brands manufactured under the same principle: they are made in Cuba from the fermentation of sugarcane molasses and the two are distilled in the central part of the country, in the locations of Remedios and Sancti Spiritus, respectively.”
“Tecnoazucar is a 21-year-old company. Its strength is supported by the huge experience and expertise of Cuba's sugar-making industry. It specializes in exports, the sale of products for the domestic market and the marketing of sugarcane byproducts. It also provides technical assistance, consulting services and technology transfer toward different countries around the world.”
“Tecnoazucar has far-reaching working perspectives. The marketing of rum, the making of syrups, the manufacturing of sorbitol™, fructose syrup, boards, certain alcohols and other items, make Tecnoazucar a company with a luring business portfolio.”
