Recently, the 12th Swab Contemporary Art Fair that gathers young artists from acclaimed art galleries and others recently created has been held at the Italian pavilion next door to the exhibition site of the "Feria de Muestras," next to the Plaza de España. In total, the works of three hundred artists have been exhibited, who have occupied the spaces of seventy five galleries from around twenty countries. This year, the influx of public has been higher than that of last year’s: around three thousand more that despite not being considerable for a fair, it certainly is for its unique characteristics, considering that it is an event where emerging art is predominant, with affordable prices between twenty euros to seventy thousand, although prices in general suit any collector’s pockets. According to its director, Barcelonese architect and collector Joaquín Diez-Cascón, who along with his daughter Carolina are the founders, tells us that seventy percent of the galleries get to sell.
