Interdisciplinary artist of Colombian origin Oscar Murillo has been nominated for the Turner Prize 2019. The British award, one of the most established in contemporary art, will be bestowed this year at the Turner Contemporary, in Margate.

We were forty volunteers who took part in the performance collective conscience by this artist, a documentation of the transportation of twenty sphinxes from London to the Turner Contemporary, where they will remain as part of its exposition: a proposal that also includes the installation of a black tapestry that partially blocks the beautiful view of the northern sea and a 19th century picture.

Next day, we met to have coffee and chat. We were at the same station we had set off the day before. The result: a look at Murillo`s social, moral and artistic concerns. A talk about oppression, movement and frequencies.
