Havana, the protagonist of the next edition
With its charming fascination, Havana captures the attention of the world. In this year of celebrations for its 500th anniversary, the spotlight is turned on it. In Buenos Aires, preparations are being made to receive it as a guest city of honor for the next edition of the 46th International Book Fair.
From April 25 to May 13, 2019, this fair, among the most important in Latin America, where authors, publishers, booksellers, distributors, educators and more than one million readers meet each year, was the site where their representatives met at the act of transfer of the city invited this year, Barcelona, to the next, Havana, which means an expectation of cultural exchange.
"The designation of Havana as a guest city is a project in which we, Cubans and Argentines, have been committed to until this year, when we can already promote it as a fact," said the director of the Cuban Chamber of Books, Sonia Almaguer.
