Like a good segment of contemporary art, Carlos Manuel Loriga’s artworks are singled out for the irony of the intercultural journey. In Memories of that snowy winter in southern Las Villas, he seems to pay tribute to Marta Valdes’ beautiful song in which the Cuban songwriter culturally relates the tropic and the illusion of snow.
