Ambassador of the Kingdom of Nepal His Excellency Madhu Raman Acharya, extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Kingdom of Nepal, was attended on the Cuban part by Angel Reigosa de la Cruz and Mario Garcia Delgado, Chief and Deputy Chief of Protocol respectively, and Lieutenant Colonel Carlos Manuel Blanco, Head of the Military House.
Ambassador of the Republic of Botswana The entourage of His Excellency Samuel Otsile Outlule, extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Republic of Botswana, was made up of Ms. Tabatso F. Baleseng, First Secretary, and on the Cuban part by Gabriel Tiel Capote, Head of the Protocol Ceremonial Department; Faustino Madrazo Madrazo, official at the Protocol Department, and Major Eleade Vargas Morada, Chief of the Military House.
Commander of the Revolution Juan Almeida Bosque, Vice President of the Council of State, accompanied by Marcos Rodriguez Acosta, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, welcomed the ambassadors of Philippines, Chile, Swaziland and Tunisia in solemn hearings for the presentation of their credentials. At the end of each ceremony, the new ambassadors of Philippines, Chile and Tunisia and their respective entourages laid wreaths at the Jose Marti Memorial.

Meeting of the Presidents of Cuba, Venezuela and Bolivia Within the framework of the first anniversary of the agreements for the implementation of the Bolivarian Alternative for the Americas (ALBA), the Cuban capital was host on April 28 and 29, 2006 of a meeting and long dialogue among Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, President of the Council of State of the Republic of Cuba; His Excellency Hugo Chavez Frias, President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, and His Excellency Evo Morales Ayma, President of the Republic of Bolivia.
Haiti’s New President Visits Cuba Taking over as leader of his country for a second time, His Excellency Rene Garcia Preval, President of the Republic of Haiti, paid a visit to Cuba on April 13, 2006.
