Conversations, letters, projects, visits, readings, events, publications, juries, academic sessions, exhibitions, shows, joint productions ... have been set up on the steps of a catwalk (that dangerous hang on the ceiling of theaters to locate lights and scenic mechanisms for the stage) between Cuba and its diaspora in the United States.
It has not been an easy process nor did it happen in one fell swoop. But it has been our contribution to the construction of this bridge that makes us proud: a bridge even more necessary in times of Donald Trump´s regressive and disgusting policies.
A sovereign, friendly, equal bridge with its head held high; developed little by little, the same way technicians are forced to move through the narrow steps of a catwalk. Difficult, delicate, but inspiring steps in favor of the Island and theater. For the nation.
