Art saves us from all miseries
Five thousand people attended the Palacio de los Deportes (Palace of Sports) of Mexico City on March 23, 2019, attracted by seven of the best Cuban dancing music orchestras: Anacaona - a Cuban Women's Orchestra -, Alain Perez, Adalberto Álvarez y su Son, Issac Delgado, Habana D'Primera, Maykel Blanco y su Salsa Mayor, and Formell and Los Van Van. Nine uninterrupted hours of that music called salsa that Cubans know as timba.
Between one and the next orchestra, seven of the best casino (dancing genre) schools of the many that exist in Mexico City showed off with choreography and costumes designed for the occasion.
Several entities contributed to this great return of Cuban dancing music to Mexican stages: FR Producciones, Ocesa, Tomeguín Producciones Culturales, Prelasa, the Tourism Office of the Embassy of Cuba, “La Sabrosita” radio station, and all Mexican media.
