Manolito Simonet y El Trabuco in Venezuela

By somehow returning to the beginnings of his journey through Venezuela, it seems that the master of the Cuban tima, Manolito Simonet, will have the renewed influence he once received from the public. The mix of music and dance, a result of a shared performance with the classic Dimension Latina band in the Teresa Carreño Theater left an inspiring footprint. For him in particular, but also for all the guys in his great Tabuco, it was the same inspiring footprint first heard from the Generals of Salsa, from which Simonet oriented his musical career.
"It is my training in dancing genres what has to do directly with Dimension Latina" pointed out Manolito. "We were doing music differently, a little faster. It was first called timba because it had a great influence from jazz. Irakere, Raíces Nuevas, and Afrocuba did something more restless when it was first listened to in Guantanamo, Santiago de Cuba. The sound of music was from us, but with the inclusion of new instruments such as trombones, which we almost never used. It was Dimension Latina and its exact cadence. I would say that the Venezuelan orchestra came with all his influence at the right time, to consolidate Cuban music. So this concert was an excellent opportunity to revive and give thanks."
Manolito y el Trabuco came to Caracas with one purpose: the release of the album No puedo parar, recorded in Havana under the signature of the house Bis Music and brought here by the hand of local label Jim Productions. This fact marked a milestone in his career. For the first time ever, the band performed the world premiere of its phonogram outside Cuba.
The moment passed into history for more than promotion. The concert overflowed the emotions and the public became a chorus for all the songs and the best unrehearsed dance group.
