Right in the heart of Havana's historic core, the Sofitel Sevilla Hotel will be born again November 1 only to enrich a past that binds the establishment closer together to the values of Cuban culture.

Quite recently ACCOR, the France-based company that owns 4,000 hotels around the globe, unveiled a special edition with a view to lay bare its selection of seven Sofitel hotels under the sun. This gorgeous and fine edition dubbed ESCALES D´AUTEURS, recreates a one-week stay previously handpicked by world-class and famous writers.

Among them, the 178-room Sofitel Sevilla, owned by Gran Caribe, is also part of the 500 hotels run by ACCOR. The facility also features 15 suites, a beautifully decked out lobby, the famous El Patio Bar, and the very special Roof Garden Restaurant spruced up with eye-catching decoration and allowing patrons to take one of the most spectacular overhead views of the city.

Eric Peyre, ACCOR marketing director in Cuba, hopes to have 30 percent of direct guests checking in at the new Sofitel Sevilla Hotel by the year 2004.
