Passion for Habanos
No better term describes more accurately the feeling of the most faithful followers of habanos than passionate.
This irresistible enchantment that every year gathers scores of aficionados of the world’s finest tobacco is called the Habano Festival, whose 16th edition –slated from Monday Feb. 24 to Friday Feb. 28- will be paying tribute to four of the most prestigious and celebrated habano brands: Hoyo de Monterrey, Partagás, Trinidad and H. Upmann.
During the weeklong powwow, over a thousand delegates from every nook and cranny of the planet will join tasting sessions, contests, pairings as they take a firsthand look –in cigar factories, tobacco plantations, curing barns, or just rolling their own habanos by hand- at the roots and secrets of a tradition that has piled up for centuries around Cuba’s tobacco culture.
This year’s Habano Festival, an event that has come of age with over fifteen editions under its belt, will also be celebrating the 20th anniversary of Habanos S.A., a decisive step in the internationalization of Cuban tobacco around the world.
This will no doubt be an unforgettable week full of passion for habanos.
